Secure and unshaken

Have you ever heard about post-in-ground construction? Many years ago, people used this construction as a foundation for their homes. It was also called “earth-fast” construction. To give you a better explanation, post-in-ground construction drives wooden posts into the ground that bear the weight of the structure.

What foundation are you building your relationships on?

Let Me put it this way kid, you need a firm and secure foundation before signing the papers to build your future on a heap of past hurt and disappointment.

You know what My cross was made of.

Wood.

Let Me be the wooden posts to bear the weight of your structure. Having a firm foundation doesn't mean that storms won't come or that the wind won't press harder against you on some days. It just means that your hope doesn't lie in the structure, but rather in its firm foundation.

For no one is empowered to lay an alternative foundation other than the good foundation that exists, which is Jesus Christ!

1 Corinthians 3:11 (TPT)

If the reason for allowing people to become your foundation is to numb your insecurities, you will forever blame them when you cannot stand on your own two feet. And that My dear child, is selfish and unnecessary admin.

I'm not saying that you should live in fear to invest in relationships, but sometimes fear can help expose our motives. I love community and fellowship with people, and My heart is for you to have relationships where you can add value to each other's lives.

Let Me be the security that your heart is longing for. Use My word as your standard to evaluate whom you are investing in.

Love you, always and forever,

Dad
