Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
Revelation 5 (NIV)
John wrote about the vision that was revealed to him and through My Spirit he was led to put it into words. It is sometimes hard to put into words that which is revealed in the Spirit, but I will reveal it to you as well in a way that you can understand it, to get a glimpse of the magnitude that this revelation carries.
I alone am the LORD, the only one who can save you (Isaiah 43:11). From the beginning We, the Trinity, knew what the plan was. In unity and through love creation was birthed, out of the Father's heart, colored in by the Spirit, and inspired by Jesus, the Word of God. For you, My dear child, to choose Love, I had to become flesh and dwell among you so that you would know the heart of the Father, that He longs to have a relationship with you.
So in heaven, there was a cry, because no one was found worthy to reveal the mysteries of the Father. John could sense the urge, the yearning to do the Father's will and to partake in what He has planned for those who love Him. In heaven, on earth and under the earth no one was found worthy to open the scroll, to reveal the mysteries of the Father - except for the Lion of Judah.
That is who I Am, I Am the Lion of Judah, but for Me to open the scroll, I had to come to earth as a Lamb. I walked up to the throne of the Father, a lamb, perfect and blameless in sight, offering up Myself so that you may know the mysteries of the Father. I placed My hand on the scroll, looked into the Father's eyes, and out of love, through obedience I committed My life to His will. It was never about fighting against darkness and waging war, it was Love, a selfless act, that broke the chains that sin had on you. It was love that rescued you out of the grip of darkness, out of bondage as a slave, and into My Kingdom as a son and daughter.
The mystery is this: Christ in you - the hope of glory.
In this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship which God entrusted to me for your sake, so that I might make the word of God fully known [among you]— that is, the mystery which was hidden [from angels and mankind] for ages and generations, but has now been revealed to His saints (God’s people). God [in His eternal plan] chose to make known to them how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in and among you, the hope and guarantee of [realizing the] glory. We proclaim Him, warning and instructing everyone in all wisdom [that is, with comprehensive insight into the word and purposes of God], so that we may present every person complete in Christ [mature, fully trained, and perfect in Him—the Anointed].
Colossians 1:25-28 (AMP)
[For my hope is] that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in [unselfish] love, so that they may have all the riches that come from the full assurance of understanding [the joy of salvation], resulting in a true [and more intimate] knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ.
