When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

Please have a biscuit. I baked them yesterday, a new recipe. Let Me know what you think?
Isn't it just beautiful sitting in front of this lake? I can get used to this kid. Reminds Me of the time that I walked along the shore of Lake Galilee. I was busy preaching to a crowd when I saw Simon and his men at the shore. Oh, they were in despair, believe Me. They've been fishing for the whole night and didn't even catch one fish. I decided to ask Simon if I could lend their boat for a short while to stand in it and preach to the crowd standing on the shore. Although tired, frustrated, and disappointed he let Me use his boat. If he only knew what was going to take place in a few minutes.
After preaching I said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” He thought I was joking, you should've seen his face. But after seeing that I wasn't planning on leaving he replied, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” I love that part kid! When he said, "because you say so", that was the game-changer. He unknowingly said that if they would catch something it wouldn't be because they said they would, but because I said so. Not out of their works, but out of MY WORD.
Let that sink in My child. How many promises have I given to you that you are trying to fan into flame by your own works?
The rest of the story is history, but notice that when they started catching fish, their nets broke and their boat couldn't hold the weight and started to sink. When I provided for them, My provision was bigger than their preparation. What is your expectation kid? You're asking Me to provide, but your fields are left untouched. Just because I haven't "showed up" in a way that you thought I will, doesn't mean that I won't. You're not waiting on Me, I'm waiting on you. In the season of waiting, lend me your boat and your current circumstances. Although Simon thought that his boat was a symbol of failure I used it to preach to others and touch their hearts. When I saw his heart and that he was willing to commit his ways to Me, I provided for him in ways that he never thought possible, and I'm not only talking about the fish.
Let Me in your boat, in the place that you feel disappointed and maybe frustrated about. Let Me use your situation to reach others, to change your heart. Prepare in advance for My provision that will come at the right time.
The water looks perfect, let's go fishing!
I love you, always and forever,
Jesus
