Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Psalm 150 (NIV)

Wow, I loved David so much. He was a man after My own heart (Acts 13:22).
It wasn't because he was perfect, he made a lot of mistakes believe Me. But he didn't allow that mistakes to define him. Of course, he repented and had to face the consequences of the choices he made, but he was never alone. He earnestly sought Me in everything that he did. He worshiped Me before, during, and after a battle. You should've seen him when he used to dance and sing for Me. Some found it disturbing or even amusing, but I knew his heart, and it was sincere.
He worshipped Me with all that was within him and didn't care who was watching. To him, it wasn't about the praises of man or fearing them, but praising me and being in awe and wonder about Me. He was so in love with His Father. Although he was the king of Israel, he knew The King of kings and sought Me for wisdom and understanding.
Another character that stood out for Me about David was the fact that he shared everything with Me. When he was angry, happy, sad, or even confused, he wrote it down. He shared all his emotions with Me. When you read Psalms you'll see that he opened up his heart to Me and gave Me the right to speak into his life.
He did not only pray for himself but also those around him. He spoke to Me about his family, his enemies. He continually reminded Me about the promises that I had made to him. By doing that he reminded himself that I am faithful.
There were days where he had no words, where he sat with the scroll in front of him, but had nothing to say. And as he paged through the previous letters and read the prayers that he wrote to Me, he found hope in knowing that I provided for him in days where he felt he had no answer and that I will do it for him again.
I want you to seek me as David did. With the same heart, sincere and open to receive. Share every emotion with Me, the good and the bad. Sometimes it helps to write it down, there will come a day when you will read through it again and you will see that I provided for you in ways that you never thought possible. It will build your faith and trust in Me.
And dance dear one, dance with Me, like you don't even care who is watching. Life is still full of joy, it just depends on Who you're dancing with.
Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
