Be still
It's hard to be still when it seems like the only way to reach your destination is to speak up. It seems wonderful to think that there were only five loaves and two fish (Matthew 14:17), and after a few seconds, there were enough to feed thousands. But when you look at your current situation, could it even be possible to have faith for just one loaf of bread, or will you humble yourself enough to believe that the God who fed the thousands, is the same God that you believe in today? That it is not out of your power or works, but through My mercy and grace.
Be still and know
The emphasis is not so much on staying silent, but rather on knowing who you are, Whose you are and why you are here. If I placed you on a certain path, won't I provide the right resources at the right time and give you the wisdom to reach the destination?
Be still and know, that I am God
And for know, maybe that is all you have to know, that I AM GOD. I was, I am and I will always be. I am your God. That in itself should give you hope. As much as a breath of air gives you oxygen for another few seconds, so should you throughout the rush, the highs and the lows stop and breathe in. Be still and know that I am God, I am here and I am in control.
Love you, always and forever,
Dad
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
