We say "Yes!"

It is almost second nature to look back at the end of the year and evaluate how things went. The lessons learned, memories made, the growth that took place. Some goals were reached while others were scratched out or moved over to the new year.

Through it all there was something that stood out to me far above the rest and it was the way Jesus showed up - unexpectedly.

Not like He was never there, but He provided in ways that my perception of Him never would.

He was in every detail, the highs and the lows. When sadness and fear came knocking, His joy and love chased all the shadows away. When I had no answer or uncertainties tried to confuse me, His wisdom provided a way out and brought a light to my path. When the Facts stated that the situation was impossible, He made it possible with the Truth of who He is.

I wonder how many times have we been hurt or disappointed by life because of the wrong, twisted and partial perception that we have of the Father's heart for us. How many times have I asked Him to provide this year, and when He did, I was somehow surprised at the way that He came through. As if I never really believed that He would?

After hearing from the angel that she would have a child, Mary had her questions, but He never forced the plan on her. He gave her the mission, but she still had a choice to say yes to His plan for her life. Knowing that His hand would be on the journey she faced, she felt honored that He chose her to be His servant and to carry His glory with her.

Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel left her.

Luke 1:38 AMP

May this be our prayer as we stand in front of a new year: "Lord, may it be done to us according to Your word. May we carry Your glory. Break down our wrong, twisted and partial perceptions and give us a new revelation of who You are, just like you broke Your body for us, so that we might be made whole by You."

You are not forgotten, for you have been chosen and destined by Father God. The Holy Spirit has set you apart to be God’s holy ones, obedient followers of Jesus Christ who have been gloriously sprinkled with his blood. May God’s delightful grace and peace cascade over you many times over!

1 Peter 1:2 TPT

May you seek His will and purpose for your life.

Blessed 2022 to all.
