Selah

anschegrob

Oh, you who are weary and downcast, it's time to look up and see the glimmer of daybreak on the horizon. The night is over, and a new day has begun.

This is the year that you will know that I am with you (Psalm 23), you will experience My presence like never before. Those seeds you planted years ago and have forgotten about are starting to burst through the ground. The soil is fertile, and the conditions are promising. The hope for harvest has arrived.

This is the year of Selah. Where you, just as David did in the Psalms, will have to "pause in My presence." That is what Selah means to pause and listen. When the emotions and fears tried to get a hold of David, he had to force himself to "pause in My presence", after which I cleared the mist for him to turn his focus back on Me. This is a call for daily Selah, to become more aware of My purpose and plan for you.

This is the season where I'm going to change your perspective, where I will soften the areas in your heart that are still hardened because of past pain and experiences.

This isn't a year of perfection where you will be striving to be perfect in every aspect, but rather a year of excellence, where you will only do the best you can because you know that I am your reward and everything you do is for My glory.

So throw off the shame and clothe yourself with the robe of praise. Let joy be your strength and new hope be your song!

This is the day, this is the year that the Lord has made!

(Psalm 118)

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Selah

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Selah

Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire. "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Selah
