Rain is sent out with a purpose, to water the earth and to bring life where there might not be any hope. Isn't it amazing how something that seems to be dead and destroyed can suddenly be awakened back to life after it has rained? It is just like My Word, dear one, sent out with a purpose to bring hope where there is none, to bring life where there is death, and to call out the potential where some dreams have already been forgotten.
As the rain falls to the ground, I will also find you wherever you are. I'm the perfect example of a gentleman kid. I'm not a father who just wants to meet you halfway, I will always walk the full length of distance to where you are, at any given moment.
You've had a few people in your life who you've looked up to, but they've let you down, I know. It's hard to trust when it feels like no one has ever kept their word towards you. My dear child, please do not compare past experiences where people have let you down, to what I have in store for you. When I say that you can trust Me, I mean it. It's not just empty words that I say to make you feel better - it's a promise.
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10-11 (NKJV)
If I promised that I hold your future and know the plans that I have for you (Jeremiah 29:11), trust Me.
If I said that I will never leave you nor forsake you and that My protection will always be with you (Deuteronomy 31:8), trust Me.
And even when it doesn't make sense My child, I want you to have faith in the things that you cannot see and believe that I see it all (Hebrews 11:1).
If you know My character, you will trust Me. Don't make conclusions about how I will come through for you, based on what others say about Me. Read My word and see how I always came through for My children, every time.
Put your trust in My Word and not in other's empty opinions about Me.
