He looked up. “I see men. They look like walking trees.” So Jesus laid hands on his eyes again. The man looked hard and realized that he had recovered perfect sight, saw everything in bright, twenty-twenty focus. Jesus sent him straight home, telling him, “Don’t enter the village.”

Go ahead and read the whole chapter to understand the context of the story. In short, the people brought a sightless man to Jesus and asked him if he could heal the man. In verse 23 it says, “taking him by the hand, he led him out of the village. He put spit in the man’s eyes, laid hands on him, and asked, “Do you see anything?”
How beautiful is this? Jesus took him by the hand and led him out of the village. In other words, Jesus took him out of his usual circumstances, He could’ve healed him right there on the spot, but decided to do it outside the village. If we compare this to our daily lives, don’t you think it’s time to let go and let God lead you out of the rush to show you a new perspective on life? God is longing to heal you, but you have to allow Him to work in you, even if it might mean that you have to change your old habits for Him to reconstruct your life. “Do you see anything?” Sometimes we’ve already received healing, but we are so used to our old habits that we’re not able to discern between what we knew and what is new…” Jesus laid hands on his eyes again”, Jesus won’t stop at 50% healing, he laid hands on this man a second time, until he had 20/20 vision (that means normal vision).
The other important part is where Jesus sent this man back to his home, telling him not to enter the village. Dear friend, don’t be led back to your old life. Go home; rather go back to the things that matter. The village of life will drag you back to your past and old habits. Receive healing and walk into a new beginning!
What if the miracle is not just about faith, but also about the atmosphere that you are in?
Some of us need physical healing, but just as Jesus healed this man’s sight, He at the same time gave the man a new vision and perspective about life. Wait on Him, be open to receive His healing, and show you a new perspective of His love for you.
How do we become open to hear from Him? We can start through Worship.
Worship puts our focus on Christ. Worship isn't just listening or singing music, it is a lifestyle. When we praise Him and bring honor to His name, when we make Him the center of our daily lives, we are worshipping Him. When we look at David in the Bible, he led a life full of worship. He wrote so many poems about God's glory and He praised His name, when others were looking or not. He was called a man after God's own heart (Acts 13:22) because he lived his life with the purpose to please God (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zoiak37twA ).
Through worship, God showed David how to lead the nation. David did however give in to temptation (2 Samuel 11), but when we read the chapter we see that it was at a time where he was supposed to be on the battlefield but chose to stay in Jerusalem. He wasn't in an atmosphere of worship.
When at work or when you are busy washing the dishes, surround yourself with worship. Change the atmosphere. Here are a few song suggestions:
